The midwest is throwing us a beautiful exit party and I’m finding it hard to say goodbye. As much as I wanted and planned and hoped to be in sunny Florida by now I am grateful for the small blessings that have been bestowed on our family these last few months.
Spring is my favorite time of year – anywhere. At home in Alaska it means endless, sunny days are on the way and the snow and ice are on their way out. But here in middle America it means flowers! I absolutely love seeing all the trees in bloom and watching my favorite perennials emerge from the ground. Tulips and lilies happen to top my list and they never disappoint. So instead of showing you beach pictures like I intended to, I get to share some of our gorgeous budding trees. I set out to grab some pictures of Sophia and Abby decided she wanted a shot or two as well. Even though we just did pics of Abigail, I’m never going to say no to capturing these growing girls of mine. At the very last minute our little Jojo decided she needed one – just one – picture. Please excuse the messy hair – spring in the midwest also means wind!
So now, the days are getting longer, the air is getting warmer and our time here in Illinois is drawing to a very quick close. For the last 5 years we have called this our home and raised three darling girls and made a ton of memories. Many of you reading this are a big part of those memories. I want to personally thank each and every one of you who takes the time to read my blog, follow me on Facebook and Instagram and always leaving me such sweet comments. It’s been an honor to capture your newborns, your families, and all those milestones. Much love!
